What the Frame TV actually wants
A Samsung Frame TV is 3840 × 2160 (16:9 UHD). Send it anything else and Samsung's Art Mode will letterbox it or crop it for you, usually straight through the middle of the subject. A JPEG at that exact size, 20 MB max, uploads cleanly from the SmartThings app.
Whatever you drop in, you get a file at the full 3840 × 2160 — smaller images are scaled up to fit, so the TV never has to do its own stretching. Scaling up can't invent detail, though: start from the biggest version of the picture you have and it will hold up across the whole screen.
