Frame TV Dimensions, VESA Sizes and Weights
Everything below comes from Samsung's own dimension drawings, quoted to a tenth of a millimetre. It is here because the figures are scattered across spec sheets and PDFs, and because the two measurements that matter most are routinely confused with each other.
The two sizes, and why they differ
A Frame TV has an outer size and an inner one. The set size is the object that goes on your wall. The front opening is the picture you actually see. They are about 25 mm apart in each direction — that is the bezel — and using the wrong one is how a television ends up not fitting an alcove, or a painting ending up lower on the wall than intended.
Use the set size to decide whether it fits. Use the front opening to judge where the picture will sit.
| Size | Set (W x H) | Front opening | Depth | VESA | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 43" | 969.5 x 557.8 mm | 944.6 x 532.8 mm | 24.9 mm | 200 x 200 | 8.6 kg |

| 55" | 1237.9 x 708.8 mm | 1213.0 x 683.8 mm | 24.9 mm | 200 x 200 | 16.6 kg |

| 85" | 1904.3 x 1085.3 mm | 1875.4 x 1056.4 mm | 26.9 mm | 600 x 400 | 44.2 kg |

VESA changes with size — check before buying a mount
This is the one that catches people out. The Frame does not use a single VESA pattern across the range: it steps from 200 x 200 on the smaller sets to 600 x 400 on the 85 inch. A bracket that fitted a 55 inch will not fit a 65 inch. Every Frame ships with Samsung's own Slim Fit wall mount included, which is sized correctly for the set it came with; the VESA figures matter when you are fitting a third-party or full-motion mount instead.
| Size | VESA | Weight without stand |
|---|---|---|
| 43" | 200 x 200 mm | 8.6 kg |
| 50" | 200 x 200 mm | 11.8 kg |
| 55" | 200 x 200 mm | 16.6 kg |
| 65" | 400 x 300 mm | 22.1 kg |
| 75" | 400 x 400 mm | 35 kg |
| 85" | 600 x 400 mm | 44.2 kg |
Take the weights seriously. The 75 inch is 35 kg and the 85 inch is 44.2 kg — both are two-person lifts, and neither should hang on plasterboard fixings alone. Fixings go into studs, or into masonry with the appropriate anchors.
With a customisable bezel fitted
Samsung's magnetic bezels sit over the set and add roughly 5 mm to each dimension, about 2.5 mm a side. Ignore it for a normal wall; account for it if the television is going into a recess, an alcove or a made-to-measure joinery opening, where a few millimetres is the difference between fits and does not.
| Size | Set alone | With bezel | Added |
|---|---|---|---|
| 43" | 969.5 x 557.8 | 974.4 x 562.6 | +4.9 x +4.8 mm |
| 50" | 1124.1 x 644.9 | 1129.0 x 649.6 | +4.9 x +4.7 mm |
| 55" | 1237.9 x 708.8 | 1242.8 x 713.6 | +4.9 x +4.8 mm |
| 65" | 1456.8 x 831.9 | 1461.7 x 836.8 | +4.9 x +4.9 mm |
| 75" | 1682.3 x 960.4 | 1687.2 x 965.2 | +4.9 x +4.8 mm |
| 85" | 1904.3 x 1085.3 | 1910.0 x 1091.0 | +5.7 x +5.7 mm |
What this does not cover
The 32 inch Frame is deliberately absent. It is a different chassis and does not appear in either of the documents these figures come from, and a dimension that is nearly right is worse than one that is missing when you are deciding where to drill. If you have a 32 inch, measure it.
Depths are the set alone. The Slim Fit mount holds the television about 7.5 mm off the wall, so plan for roughly 32 mm of total projection on the 43 to 65 inch sets and 34 mm on the larger two.
Source: Samsung, "LS03B Frame TV Set Dimension" (engineering drawings, ±0.1 mm) and the 2024 LS03D retailer spec sheet, which publishes identical set figures. Samsung notes on those drawings that for critical installations the measurements should be confirmed against an actual set — sound advice, and worth following before cutting anything.
Common questions
What size is a 55 inch Samsung Frame TV?
The set measures 1237.9 x 708.8 mm without a stand (48.7 x 27.9 in), 24.9 mm deep. The visible picture inside it is smaller, at 1213.0 x 683.8 mm.
What VESA mount does the Samsung Frame use?
It changes with size: 200 x 200 mm on the 43, 50 and 55 inch; 400 x 300 on the 65; 400 x 400 on the 75; and 600 x 400 on the 85. A mount bought for one size will not necessarily fit another.
How much does a Samsung Frame TV weigh?
Without the stand, from 8.6 kg on the 43 inch to 44.2 kg on the 85 inch. Anything above the 55 inch is a two-person lift and needs fixings into structure rather than plasterboard alone.
Does a customisable bezel make the Frame TV bigger?
Yes, by about 5 mm on each dimension — roughly 2.5 mm per side. On a 55 inch the set goes from 1237.9 x 708.8 mm to 1242.8 x 713.6 mm. It matters only if you are fitting the television into a recess or an alcove.
